In late August 2006 I went on a six day backpacking trip in North Cascades national park. The trip starts low on a lovely trail through old growth forest in the Big Beaver valley, then heads off trail up a side valley, arriving at the shoulder of Luna peak. We spent two nights up high at Luna col, taking in and photographing the magnificent views of the Pickets range.
